The Willows is located only a mile from the charming town of Dollar and enjoys one of the most stunning locations in Central Scotland. With its internationally renowned school Dollar Academy and excellent selection of local shops, Dollar is a delightful little place to explore, nestled below the imposing Castle Campbell.

Nestled in ancient woodland, the town is situated in a valley and gateway to the Ochil Hills, which offers both exhilarating peaks and stunning gorges to hill walkers, ramblers and cyclists. These range from leisurely to rather more challenging routes, including the Ben Cleuch and Dollar Glen circulars.

Within the affluent town of Dollar there are a good selection of high end shops including an excellent delicatessen, post office, hairdressers, chemist, newsagent, coffee shops, boutiques and museum. We would definitely recommend the The Inn at Dollar which has a superb selection drinks and food. The town sits is in the shadows of the historic Castle Campbell or Castle “Gloom” and  is also home to one of Scotland’s most prestigious schools, Dollar Academy.

The town is within easy commuting distance of Edinburgh, Glasgow (both with large international airports), Stirling and Perth. The property has a large drive that can comfortably accommodate four large vehicles.

The Willows allows you the chance to a vacation rental in the highly regarded Dollarbeg Estate, comprising only 30 houses within the exclusive grounds of Dollarbeg Castle. In the background of the property the Ochil Hills await to be explored and share their breathtaking views. Walkers can enjoy the lower level glens or traverse the spine of the Ochil’s, which stretches for 25 miles and includes many peaks over 2000ft.

Scotland is the home of golf and The Willows luxury holiday rental is situated in a golden triangle of courses, with Gleneagles only a few miles away and the Old Course at St. Andrews & Carnoustie both less than an hour’s drive. It makes the ideal base for golfing holidays in Scotland and many other outdoor pursuits.
